"Saints in White" is a series of three sculptures that explore the perception of human divinity and its struggle with imperfection. The work challenges traditional notions of purity and the celestial, offering a critique of idealized expectations of the divine. The separation between the object, the individual,
and the myth invites reflection on the distance between what we consid sacred and our imperfect reality.
The sculptures propose expressions that must be discovered and understood through human perception, completed in the gaze of the observer. Upon examining the pieces, their internal elements are revealed, exposing their fragility and the process behind their creation.
This connection between the materiality of the works and human nature reflects the condition of being human—built from imperfect and ephemer elements that, like us, wear down over time. The sculptures invite deeper reflection on our own vulnerability and existence, confronting us with t inherent anxiety we feel about death and the inevitable deterioration of our bodies and spirits.
